January…it’s often cold, the days are short and dark, the festivities are over, and its back to the grind for another year. It’s not the easiest time to ditch the warm, rich, stodgy, comfort foods we think about on those long, cold, dark nights.

Add in the fact that if we are going to be successful we may have to knock the booze on the head. Argh…. it almost seems impossible! Then, add to that all the chatter of your friends talking about signing up for yet another gym membership. But don’t beat yourself up, because you’re not alone: most people will have ditched the project well before the end of January.

Why Do New Year Weight Loss Efforts Fail

January 1st, a whopping six months until the summer, and we’ve just gone through the shortest day of the year. So not only is it dark, cold, depressing, but now the scales say you have put on even more weight. In our minds we can clearly see the reasons why we need to introduce change into our lives.

Some things will have to go, a few, maybe temporary, changes will need to be introduced.
